RAME acronym is the italian word meaning "copper".
Copper is one among the ubiquitous element found in electronics, since it is adopted in everyday cables as well as in integrated circuits, antennas, sensors, etc.
Copper represents the most common way to realize electrical interconnections: this is the metaphorical key-word to actually define RAME mission.
Our goal is to establish, for a given research object, a link between the latest scientific/technical results and the potential applications. Transfer of knowledge between different scientific scenarios is a multi-step process involving the ability to collect information on state-of-the-art and to provide an effective inter-communication path across several research fields.
In order to fulfill the above mentioned role, RAME is then capable of:
- analyzing and proposing solutions for joint research committments;
- starting independently and autonomously research projects with the aim to increase its capabilities.
The latter feature descends from the non-profit model, since revenues are not redistributed and must be mandatory reinvested in innovative research activities, as dictated by italian law 221/2012.
